Lanerossi Competition

The competition called for the transformation of the historic Lanerossi manufacturing complex into a vibrant, multifunctional hub – housing a school, theatre, offices, library, and café. The proposal is centered on the adaptive reuse of the existing shed-roof structure, supported by steel pilasters, which forms the framework for the new functions.

The theatre and school gym are expressed as distinct glass volumes that rise above the existing roofline, serving as visual markers of the new program. The proposal establishes a model for the sustainable reuse of shed-roof industrial buildings, merging legacy structures with contemporary public programs.
