Harrison Street

Type: Residential & Commercial
Location: Tribeca, New York City

18 Harrison Street is a landmarked building located in the historic neighborhood of Tribeca in Lower Manhattan. Originally built as a warehouse, the structure has been reimagined into a mixed-use building featuring two expansive residential units and a commercial space on the ground and basement levels.

The project included a complete interior gut renovation and the addition of a sixth floor. The original brick façades were carefully restored to preserve the building’s historic character, while the new rooftop addition, constructed with a steel frame and clad in corten panels, introduces a modern architectural contrast.

The interior layout now includes a duplex apartment on the second and third floors, and a triplex residence occupying the fourth, fifth, and newly added sixth floors. Each residence is designed with open, flexible layouts and contemporary finishes that complement the building’s industrial heritage.

The project stands as an example of thoughtful adaptive reuse, combining historic preservation with contemporary urban living.
